Hi, I am Jess Maynard.

I remember my life through photographs. When I think of my mother, I think of a candid image taken with my brother and me piled on her lap. Choosing a photographer is a decision to see your life through the eyes of your photographer. It is an incredible honor to be a part of someone's life in this way. As your photographer, I look for your joy, your passion, your peace, and your truth. I see you.

My journey to photography started on the stage. I’ve been an actor for as long as I’ve been able to introduce myself. I am still an actor working on stage and screen in Chicago. I have a BFA in Acting from The University of Michigan and an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University. I believe that acting is the artistic expression of empathy.
